It will tell you how many balusters you need for any given length of railing, as well as the measurements at each point where you’ll have to attach a baluster. Thanks, Virginia Railing and Gates!
We need 64, for the record. Feel free to take bets on whether we will be able to find 64 decent balusters at the home imp store.
Also in porch trivia, it turns out code for baluster spacing is 4″. Why we didn’t look this up when we did the side porch, I … um … ahem. Please, everyone, keep your baby heads off my side porch.
