Roper from Maryville, Illinois

Ever since I bought an early 40s Roper stove, I’ve been collecting images of other people’s old Ropers. I’ve yet to see one that is exactly like mine. There was a guy in Arizona who put an ad in an old appliance publication who said he’d learned to cook on the exact same model, but his was out in a field and he was trying to give it away. I thought we had an agreement for him to pull off the usable parts and sell them to me, but then he vanished in that cybertrail-sudden-cold way.

Here’s a Roper from Maryville, Illinois that was up for sale on eBay.
