Roper from Rochester

There’s a beauteous beast on eBay now, and the seller says it’s a 1935; I’ve asked how the date was determined.

I have very similar version in my townhouse in Los Angeles. Mine says “Canadian Pats. Oct. 3, 1933” on the manufacturer’s label; the model number says 2000-1; however all the writing is very difficult to decipher. Mine has different knobs, less streamlined, but does have that marvelous “Roper Scientific Cooking Chart” on the inside of the oven door.
